Arsenal want Philippe Coutinho, Joaquin Correa and Borna Barisic, according to the latest reports…
COUTINHO TO LEICESTER AGAIN?
In some quarters they are selling this as a new line from Mundo Deportivo but actually, the Spanish outlet are just reporting that ' in England they point out that the 'Foxes' could launch themselves for the signing of the Brazilian'. And in England they were just reporting what Sport had said earlier in the week.
And what did Sport say earlier in the week? That Leicester and Tottenham had both 'kept the door open for Coutinho' and that he now had three options in the Premier League: Leicester, Spurs and Arsenal. A fee of £17m has been mentioned as well as a possible loan, of course. Would Leicester be the favourites because of the Brendan Rodgers connection?
CORREA MOVE
Arsenal have made an opening £17m bid for Lazio forward Joaquin Correa, according to multiple reports in Italy. But the Italian club wants closer to £30m for the Argentine international who scored 11 goals in all competitions last season.
Everton are also said to be interested in Correa, who can play as a second striker or on the wing, but new Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri is now reported to want to keep him so the price is likely to be beyond both those clubs.
BARISIC A WANTED MAN
'Arsenal, Aston Villa and Wolves are set to assess Rangers star Borna Barisic in action for Croatia against England today,' Football Insider understood on Sunday. What they obviously did not understand was that Barisic was missing against England, but the rumours stand: Arsenal, Aston Villa and Wolves are all reportedly interested in the Rangers left-back who had already been linked with Leeds.
It says here that 'the Premier League trio are all in the market for a new senior left-back this summer', which could come as something of a surprise to Kieran Tierney and Matt Targett.
